A huge thank you

A huge thank you

Hi Everyone,

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past few months!

If you’ve bought a mask or a dress, thank you so much for your kindness, your patience, and for your donation to the South West Ambulance service. The whole project has been an amazing, heart-warming experience.

Like so many businesses, we’ve had our ups and downs since the pandemic began. When our new Spring collection launched just as lockdown hit, we weren’t sure how we would make it through the months to come. Then, when we decided to make pretty floral face masks with the Liberty Print silk we had left over from the collection, we couldn’t believe the response! Our amazing Somerset-based seamstresses worked their socks off trying to keep up with demand, and we are so grateful to those people who patiently waited that bit longer for their masks. We are also eternally grateful to those who were kind enough to send back masks when some doubles were sent out by accident. It has been quite the busy time, but I have learned so much.

We have now caught up with demand and we are pleased to announce that from next week onwards, you will no longer have to pre order all our masks, and many will be ready to send as soon as you order. We will also have some Special Pre Order masks which will be ready in early July. I’m brimming with new ideas, so do keep checking the website for different designs!

We feel it is the right time to broaden the charities we’re supporting, so have decided to support a wide rage of NHS charities by giving to NHS Charities Together for the next period of sales -  to acknowledge and support NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by Covid-19 across the country. The money raised is funding grants to help NHS charities support NHS staff, volunteers and patients in ways above and beyond what NHS funding can ordinarily offer, providing extra vital services to NHS hospitals, ambulances, mental and community health trusts.

I also want to acknowledge the powerful global movement to end systemic racism that is taking place at the moment. My teenage daughter Betty and I went to the peaceful protest taking place in Bath on the weekend which was moving beyond words. We found this list of resources which is an excellent source of information for anyone wanting to learn more and become more active in solidarity with the movement.

Thank you once more for all of your support,

Pearl x
