Face masks

Face masks
Hi Everyone!

I wasn’t at all prepared for the wonderful response I got to last week’s pictures on Instagram of my lovely daughters Daisy and Betty wearing the face masks I had sewn on a whim. It had seemed to me that it might be uplifting to cover my face with a beautiful floral print on my weekly excursions to our local farm shop, and so I gathered together some scraps of dress fabric, et voila!

It turns out that I am not alone in thinking a perfect print can improve my day. I was inundated with messages asking how people might buy the masks for themselves, and so I decided the only thing to do was to give the people what they wanted and get on with making more. Now, the wonderful local seamstresses I work with here in Somerset are rushed off their feet fulfilling orders. Do please keep checking the website – there are many designs in all kinds of glorious fabrics and more and more options will be added as I come up with new styles!

I am donating the majority of profits from my masks and dresses (made from Liberty print fabric) to the
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, in support of all the amazing paramedics, health care workers and the communities that use these services throughout this difficult time.

Sending all my love,

Best wishes,

Pearl  <3
